I want you to love playing your instrument again.

Yoga for musicians is a system for uniting you more deeply with your instrument and yourself.

This course builds the connections and skills to carry what's in your heart through your mind and into your body, with a feeling of ease, as if your instrument were a united part of you.

Yoga for musicians, not yoga stretches for musicians.

It's tempting to make a course of what most people think of as yoga: stretches for musicians. The deeper I've gotten into my yoga trainings, however, the more I've realized what a robust system yoga is, beyond just the poses, and how much of it is directly helpful to musicians. The stretches in and of themselves are of course valuable, but they only become yoga when practiced with a certain mindset and internal focus.

The first course

Yoga for Violinists (and violists) is ready now.

A 21-set course that brings yoga into your violin practice. Each set weaves five practices together: Meditation+, asana (a sequence of yoga poses), a workshop, violin yoga with the instrument in your hands, and an insight that changes how you see practice.

Who I am

I'm Samuel Wexler: a classically trained, multi-genre violinist, a multi-instrumentalist, composer and live-looping artist, and a 500-hour certified yoga teacher.

Music, wellness and insights have been three pillars of my life. Yoga for Musicians (musicians.yoga) is my first project that brings all three together into a cohesive experience.
